Passerby 03:01
I'm hoping you take me away Past the coast and the docks and boats And I'm ready to be someone new I just got to know if it's Hope it's close to you I've got one foot out the door Got my boxes packed ready to not come back And you tell me I could be more That I've got one life and I've got to try and Oh, you're not a passerby Oh, it's no ordinary life I've got a lot of things to do With just seventy years of air in my lungs What can a man of twenty-two even offer you? I'm saving all I have now I'm laying all of that down, yeah Oh, you're not a passerby Oh, it's no ordinary life I know the truth about my life And I won't let it pass me by I know the truth about my life I won't go down without a fight Oh, you're not a passerby Oh, it's no ordinary life Oh, you're not a passerby Oh, it's no ordinary life

Here is your wake up call When both of your engines stall This is your morning cup Your daily pick me up Rise and shine Show them what you've got inside This is your quiet place It greets you with smiling face But swing open that door Show them what life is for Rise to your feet The morning breathes a Sweet symphony of hope Change is a funny thing Cause it can bring the Things that you wish for the most So wake up and hope Rise to your feet The morning breathes a Sweet symphony of hope Change is a funny thing Cause it can bring the Things that you wish for the most Yeah, the most Yeah, the most So wake up and hope

Running Wild 04:28
Won't you stop running Everything's gonna be fine It'll get better, just give it some time Won't you sit down and listen for a while Cause chasing you is running me Yeah chasing you is running me wild Won't you be still with me dear Won't you be still Can't we just talk for a while Won't you just smile for me dear Won't you just smile Can't you just sit with me here Instead of running wild I say slow down and she accelerates She's got no time for me She's got no time to wait She won't give me the time of day Maybe someday I'll catch up to her and say Won't you be still with me dear Won't you be still Can't we just talk for a while Won't you just smile for me dear Won't you just smile Can't you just sit with me here Instead of running Don't you leave me behind Don't you leave me behind, yeah Can I run wild with you dear Can we run wild Can't we just follow the sun Can I fall in love with you dear Can we fall in love Won't you just teach me to run, yeah La da da da da da Woah La da da da da da Cause chasing you is running me Yeah chasing you is running me wild

about

A note from Richard:

"On March 29th, 2011, I jumped on a train headed from Santa Ana, CA to San Luis Obispo, CA, never in a million years dreaming that I would step off that train a changed man. Somewhere in the calm, setting sun perched atop the gleaming ocean...in the tall, swaying grass speeding by...in daydreams of a life forever stuck indoors working at yet another restaurant, it hit me.....

I have been still. Stationary. I have been like the motionless scenery on the other side of this train's thin glass window pane.

But this is not who I have been made to be. I was not intended, nor was I destined to become a passerby in the journey that is my life. I have a purpose. Each person has been granted valuable gifts which they can either choose to use......or else risk losing the chance to become who they were made to be.

Somewhere between Santa Ana and SLO I realized that this is no ordinary life, that I am not a passerby."

Richard's debut EP is a well-rounded fixing of delicate, harmony-filled indie rock with a splash of horns and a healthy portion of rich guitars. Comes with a side of hopeful lyrics and layered rhythm souffle.
